Wine list

Wine: for many a popular drink at lunch or dinner. It is often drunk when you go out for dinner with family or friends. A glass of wine makes it even more fun or festive for many people. But in addition to this social aspect, drinking a good wine also has an effect on the food itself. Drinking wine with meals ensures a better taste of the dishes. Wine can be divided into four types. First, you have the white wine that is the favorite of many. Red wine is just as popular. You also have rosé and dessert wine. Which dish you eat will also determine which wine you choose. One wine simply tastes better with a certain type of dish than the other. We’ve a great wine list, please read below.

Hibiscus wine list, red wine with delicious matured sausage

White wines

With a white wine, the skins are removed from the grapes for the fermentation process. Because the grape juice itself contains little dye, the wine will therefore be white in color. Since sugars are converted into alcohol during the fermentation process, you get a dry white wine during a naturally occurring fermentation. With a sweet white wine extra sweet grapes are used or intervention is made during the fermentation. White wine is enjoyed with appetizers or with fish dishes.

Red wines

With a red wine, the grapes including sheets and seeds are fermented. This ensures that the wine gets its beautiful red color. A distinction can be made between a light red wine and a fuller red wine. The difference lies in the maturity of the wine and the intensity of the taste. A light red wine is often combined with dishes with white meat such as chicken or veal. You drink the full red wine with red meat or game with game.

Rosé wines

A rosé wine is made from blue grapes and has a light red color. This soft color is created because the skins can only ferment with the juice for one night. After this short period, the light-colored juice is poured into other vessels for further fermentation. Rosé is preferably drunk dry, but there is also a sweet version. You can drink rosé with salads, grilled meat or vegetarian dishes.

Dessert wines

The dessert is only completed by drinking a dessert wine. It is often a sweet white wine, but of course you also have drier varieties. Sherry and red port are among the most famous dessert wines. Of course you can drink a dessert wine with a dessert such as ice cream with fresh fruit or a chocolate dessert, but it also tastes great with a cheese board. If you stay for a while, a dessert wine is the perfect match.
